抄録

Dolichovespula asiatica Archer, 1981, was proposed incorrectly as a replacement name for Vespula sylvestris var. intermedia Birula, 1930 ; the latter is not a junior primary homonym of Vespa rufa var. intermedia du Buysson, 1905. Dolichovespula intermedia (Birula) is a valid name.
