タイリクヒメハナカメムシの分布北限について(半翅目 : ハナカメムシ科)  [in Japanese] Factors Limiting the Northern Distribution in Orius strigicollis (Poppius) (Heteroptera : Anthocoridae)  [in Japanese]

分布北限付近で行った採集調査および耐寒性についてのヒメハナカメムシ類4種間の比較研究の結果をもとに, タイリクヒメハナカメムシOrius strigicollis (Poppius)の北方分布を制限している要因について考察した.本種の北方分布は冬の低温に制限されており, 基本的に1月の最低気温が-1℃を切らず, 冬期を通じての冬日(最低気温が0℃を切る日)日数が50日以内になる海岸部と都市部に分布していた.耐寒性試験の結果, タイリクヒメハナカメムシ休眠個体の0℃における生存期間が, この種よりも北にまで分布するナミヒメハナカメムシやコヒメハナカメムシの生存期間よりも短く, タイリクヒメハナカメムシの北方分布が冬の長さによって制限されていることが示唆された.関東平野においては, 都市の温暖化(ヒートアイランド)によって本種の分布が都市部に拡大している可能性が示唆された.冬日日数50日を指標にして日本列島全域における過去および現在のタイリクヒメハナカメムシの分布を推測し, 日本列島における都市温暖化が本種の分布に及ぼす影響についても考察した.

The factors determining the northern limit of distribution of a flower bug, Orius strigicollis (Poppius), were examined based on the results of field sampling and interspecific comparisons in cold tolerance. The distribution of O. strigicollis may be constrained by low temperatures in winter. Survival time at 0℃ was shorter in diapause females of O. strigicollis than in those of O. sauteri and O. minutus, each having a more northern distribution than O. strigicollis. We collected O. strigicollis on flowers of the golden rod, Solidago altissima L., in central and northern Honshu every autumn from 1997 to 2000. Orius strigicollis was found along the Pacific coast and urbanized areas where the daily minimum air temperature in January was higher than -1℃ on average and the number of cold days with the minimum air temperature lower than 0℃ was less than 50 days in each winter. The urban warming (heat island) may be shown by the occurrence of O. strigicollis in some cities. The past and present distribution patterns of the flower bug in Japan were estimated, based on the meteorological record, and the possible impact of the urban warming on the distribution of this insect is discussed.
