New or Little Known Species of the Subgenus Hirtodrosophila DUDA (Diptera, Drosophilidae, Drosophila) from the Oriental and Adjacent Regions

Abstract

Twelve new species of the subgenus Hirtodrosophila DUDA (Diptera, Drosophilidae, Drosophila) are described from the Oriental and adjacent Regions : Malaysia, Philippines, Formosa, New Guinea and New Britain. Some taxonomic notes and new distributional records are given for five known species of this subgenus.
