The first endemic Macronychia from the Oriental Region (Diptera : Sarcophagidae)

Abstract

Macronychia malayana sp. n. is described from West Malaysia. It represents the first species of Macronychia endemic to the Oriental Region. It is argued that the species cannot be accomodated within any of the two subgenera of Macronychia currently recognized.
