An Interesting New Species of the Genus Palaeorhiza PERKINS from Papua New Guinea (Hymenoptera : Colletidae)

Abstract

A new species, Palaeorhiza excavata, is described from Papua New Guinea, which is characteristic in having the propodeal enclosure deeply excavated in the middle. This species is temporarily placed in the subgenus Palaeorhiza s. str.
