Revision of the Genera Lispinus ERICHSON and Neolosus BLACKWELDER (Coleoptera : Staphylinidae) from Japan

Abstract

This is the forth part of a series of the taxonomic studies on the subfamily Osoriinae from Japan, and the genera Lispinus ERICHSON and Neolosus BLACKWELDER of the subtribe Lispinina are treated. A new species, Lispinus jambar NAOMI is described from Nansei Isls. Lispinus aper SHARP is transferred to the genus Neolosus (comb. nov.) and redescribed, and the lectotype is designated for it.
