Studies on the Lepturine Genus Pidonia (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae) from Sado-ga-shima Island, Central Japan : II. A New Species of the Subgenus Mumon

Abstract

A new species of Pidonia closely related to P. (Mumon) aegrota was described as P. (M.) telephia from Sado-ga-shima Island, central Japan. The mating behaviour was observed and the pairing tests were carried out between two species for checking the behavioral barrier.
