Abstract
The adult eclosion rhythm of Luehdorfia japonica was investigated. Under 25℃-13L-11D ; 20℃-16L-8D, 13L-11D, 10L-14D ; 15℃-13L-11D, more than 80% of individuals emerged within 1 hr after the light-on. The free-running period under constant darkness was about 24 hr. Under constant light, however, the free-running rhythmicity was ambiguous. Some individuals transferred to constant darkness died without adult eclosion, although they had completed adult differentiation.
