A Revision of the Froghopper Genus Aphrophora GERMAR (Homoptera, Cercopoidea, Aphrophoridae) from Japan, Part 2

Forty-four species of Japanese froghoppers belonging to the genus Aphrophora and other eight related genera, Todophora, Dophora, Jophora, Subphora, Takaphora, Tamaphora, Yamaphora, and Yaphora are revised. Thirteen valid names and 31 new synonyms at species rank are recognized in Aphrophora, and all the genera except Subphora and Tamaphora are placed in the extent of Aphrophora. Male genitalia and some taxonomic features are described and figured. Lectotypes are designated for several Matsumuran species. This paper is the second part of the revision, in which A. brevis, A. flavipes, A. pectoralis, A. obliqua and A. obtusa are included.
