Taxonomic Study on Stenus wasabi HROMADKA and its Allied Species (Coleoptera; Staphylinidae; Steninae), with Discussion on the Internal Structure of the Aedeagus

Abstract

Stenus wasabi HROMADKA and its allied species of the staphylinid subfamily Steninae are treated taxonomically, and the internal structures of their aedeagus are discussed. One new species, S. ignorabilis, and two new subspecies, S. nakanei mikawanis and S. ignorabilis awajinis, are described. A key to species and subspecies is provided, and the 9th sternite of male and aedeagus are illustrated.
