A New Species of the Genus Xylostiba (Coleoptera, Staphylinidae) from Japan

Abstract

A new species of the genus Xylostiba is described and illustrated under the name of X. tahirai. It is obtained from under the bark of a decaying tree in a deciduous broadleaved forest on the Abe Pass in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan.
