Abstract

Two species of Phorbia are added to the Japanese fauna : P. longipilis (PANDELLE, 1900) and P. sho sp. nov. These species form a close species group together with P. hikosana SUWA, 1983, known from Japan. The chaetotaxy on the legs and on the pregenital sclerite and the structure of the male terminalia are useful to distinguish them.
