The Status of Prosopalictus, a Halictine Bee from Taiwan (Hymenoptera, Halictidae)

Prosopalictus micans STRAND from Taiwan is a species of Lasioglossum. Because of homonymy it is renamed as Lasioglossum micante new name. It appears to be a member of the group of Lasioglossum fimbriatellum (VACHAL) and sexstrigatum (SCHENCK). The name Prosopalictus becomes a junior synonym of the subgenus Dialictus or Evylaeus (depending upon one's subgeneric classification); or in a more finely split classification, Microhalictus WARNCKE is a junior synonym of Prosopalictus.
