Abstract
The Japanese species of the phlaeothripid genus Acallurothrips BAGNALL are studied. Six species are recognized, five of them being new to science : Acallurothrips casuarinae sp. nov., A. hagai sp. nov., A. hanatanii sp. nov., A. nogutii (KUROSAWA), A. nonakai sp. nov. and A. spinurus sp. nov. They seem to be fungus-feeders, being found on dead branches. A key is provided to these six Japanese species.
