4′-オキシヂフェニルメタン-2-カルボン酸の新合成法  [in Japanese] Eine neue Darstellungsmethode der 4'-Oxydiphenylmethan-2-carbonsaure  [in Japanese]

Erhitzt man ein Gemisch von o-Cyanbenzylchlorid und Phenol unter Zusatz von Zinkpulver auf 130°, o wird glatt 2-Cyan-4'-oxydiphenylmethan gebildet. Farblose Nadeln vom Smp. 130°. 1.1. in Aether, Aceton, Chloroform etc., unl. in CS_2 u. Petrolaether.[Table]Durch Kochen mit Kalilauge (1 : 5) wird es verseift und geht in 4'-Oxydiphenylmethan-2-carbonsaure (Smp. 148-150°) ueber, die sich als identisch mit der Saure von Bistrzycki (Ber. 31,2792) erwies.
