Abstract
Evaluation of stereoscopic pictures showed that a high psychlogical effect is induced by image stimulus covering a 20-30 degree range in the visual field.<BR>A stereoscopic display system with a wide visual field was developed based on the above estimation. When a picture with a range of more than 110 degrees, was displayed on the system, a great deal of psychological effect was induced. A picture presentation with a range wider than 110 degrees was not psychologically effective.
