ハイビジョン用CCDに対する宇宙放射線の影響  [in Japanese] Space Radiation Effect on The High Definition Television Camera CCD  [in Japanese]

Abstract

これまでに、ハイビジョンカメラを宇宙で使用した場合、CCD上に白傷が多数発生することが確認され、映像劣化の観点から、映像素材や科学的データの取得に際して障害となることが報告されている。本報告では、CCDの耐放射線特性を調べる目的で、ハイビジョン用のCCDに対して地上照射実験を実施したので、その結果を報告する。

As the result of High Definition Television (HDTV) Camcorder operation onboard the Space-Shuttle, a lot of white defects were obtained on the image from Charge-Coupled Device(CCD), and interfere with the acquisition of the picture material and scientific data from the viewpoint of picture quality. For good operation of HDTV Camcorder on orbit, it is important to study the Radiation-resistant characteristics of CCD. This paper reports the result of ground irradiation test for HDTV CCD.
