Abstract
はじめLCD技術の主な評価項目を紹介し、つぎにLCD技術の3の分野、直視型、投写型、反射型について今迄どの様に生まれ育って来たかを紹介する。そしてLCD技術における現在の課題とそれに対する解決方法を論じる。最後に今後の展望につきのべる。
First, major metrics for characterizing and evaluating LCDs are introduced. Then the birth, the past growth, and the current status of LCDs are discussed by focusing on direct view type-, projection type-, and reflective type-LCDs based on the above mentioned major metrics. Further we discuss the current problems in LCD technology and the resolutions for these problems. Finally, the future aspects are discussed.
