タイ国産ジャノヒゲ属(スズラン科)の一新種 A New Species of the Genus Ophiopogon (Convallariaceae) from Thailand

筆者は1991年にタイ国Inthanon山に産する広義のユリ科の同定結果を頌栄短期大学研究紀要第23巻で報告したが,生の花を観察できなかったために同定できず,仮にOphiopogon cf. reptansと名づけたジャノヒゲ属の植物があった。昨年,筆者は大阪市立大学タイ国植物調査隊に加わり,この植物の花を現地で観察することができた。その結果,この植物は新種であることがわかったので,本稿でO. siamensisと名づけて記載する。Ophiopogon siamensisはO. reptansやO. chingiiに似ているが,前者とは茎の上部が直立し,葉の幅が広く,花序が長い点で,後者とは葉が長く,茎上で束生し,苞が長く,葯が披針形で,花期が9月〜10月という点でそれぞれ異なっている。その後の調査でO. siamensisはTung山やPhukha山にも産することがわかり,この植物はタイ国北部に広く分布していると考えられる。

Based on specimens from Northern Thailand, Ophiopogon siamensis (Convallariaceae, Liliaceae sensu lato) is newly described in this paper. This species is similar to O. reptans Hook. f. and O. chingii Wang et Tang, but differs from the former in having erect aerial stems in the upper part, broader foliage leaves and a longer inflorescence, and from the latter in the longer foliage leaves fascicled on the aerial stem, longer bracts, lanceolate anthers and anthesis in September to October.
