Abstract
パプアニューギニアに自生する被子植物8科9属9種について、若い葉を用いて調べた体細胞染色体の数と形態を報告する。全9種及び6属について初めての報告である。Cansjera leptostachya(オピリア科)は2n=20,Dracontomelon dao(トウダイグサ科)は2n=32,Endiandra brassii(クスノキ科)は2n=30,Endospermum moluccanum(トウダイグサ科)は2n=48,Gymnacranthera paniculata(ニクズク科)は2n=44,Haplolobus floribundus(ブルセラ科)は2n=44,Mishocarpus grandissimus(ムクロジ科)は2n=32,Pimeleodendron amboinicum(トウダイグサ科)は2n=22,Siphonodon celastrineus(ニシキギ科)は2n=28の染色体数をもつことが明らかにされた。
Somatic chromosome numbers for nine species native to Papua New Guinea in nine genera of eight families, and karyotypes of eight of them in meristematic cells of young leaves are reported. All the nine species and six of the eight genera were studied for the first time cytologically. The chromosomes number of 2n=20 was found in Cansjera leptostachya (Opiliaceae), 2n=32 in Dracontomelon dao (Anacardiaceae), 2n=30 in Endiandra brassii (Lauraceae), 2n=48 in Endospermum moluccanum (Euphorbiaceae), 2n=44 in Gymnacranthera paniculata (Myristicaceae), 2n=44 in Haplolobus floribundus (Burseraceae), 2n=32 in Mishocarpus grandissimus (Sapindaceae), 2n=22 in Pimeleodendron amboinicum (Euphorbiaceae), and 2n=28 in Siphonodon celastrineus (Celastraceae).
