Abstract
Myristica fragrans and its allied are revised. M. fatua auct. has been treated as a species different form M. fragrans HOUTT. The WEINMANN's figure N 760 a is considered, according to the recent code of nomenclature (1987), to be holotype of M. fragrans, and the N 760 b to be that of M. fatua. According to our field observation, the seed (albumen) of N 760 b is considered to be of an immature stage of M. fragrans. Thus, M. lakilaki, sp. nov., is described here based on the VOGEL's specimen, No. 3668.
