Abstract
Cacalia hastata L. subsp. tanakae (FR. et SAV.) H. KOYAMA was collected from Nishi-chugoku mountainous area in Hiroshima Pref., the first record from western Japan. It possessed 2n=90 chromosomes, a new count for the genus, and can be regarded karyologically to be autotriploid.
