Abstract
邦産フクジュソウ(Adonis amurensis Regel et Radde)を材料にして, 倍数性の変異と花粉粒の大きさ, 稔性及び外部形態, との関係を調べた。花粉の稔性は二倍体, 四倍体では高いが三倍体では非常に低い。また花粉の赤道面直径の平均値は倍数体の間でかなり変化している。倍数性が高くなれば, 平行して花粉粒も大きくなる傾向があるが, その傾向は統計的処理によってはじめて明瞭になる。花粉粒の極の軸と赤道面の軸の長さの割合(P/E)にも変異が見られる。どの倍数体においても最も普通に見られるのは, 長球状形prolate spheroidalの花粉粒である。次に良く見られるのは二倍体では稍長球形subprolate, 四倍体では扁球形oblate spheroidalの花粉粒である。正常な三溝粒tricolpate花粉の他に, 二溝粒dicolpate, 合流溝粒syncolpate, 散溝粒pericolpateや, さらに夫々の変形した花粉がどの倍数体にも観察される。走査型電子顕微鏡による観察から, フクジュソウにおける倍数性レベルを分析する為には, テクタム上の小刺spinuleの密度とその形態, 及びテクタムの小孔perforationsの特徴とを合わせて用いるのが有効であることが分かった。
Variability in pollen fertility, grain size and other exomorphic features in Adonis amurensis(Ranunculaceae)is described with a special emphasis on intraspecific polyploidy. Pollen fertility is generally very high in diploids and tetraploids, while in triploids low fertility ratios are marked. The mean equatorial diameter of the stained pollen grains exhibits considerable variation among diploid, triploid and tetraploid. However, the general effect of polyploidy on pollen grains is found to be an increase in equatorial diameter that can only be shown statistically. The ratio between the length of the polar and equatorial axis(P/E)is also variable. The most common shape is prolate spheroidal, though subprolate is frequent in diploids and oblate spheroidal occurs often in tetraploids. Besides the normal tricolpate grains, dicolpate, syncolpate and pericolpate ones with various modifications were observed throughout the polyploid series. SEM examinations revealed that the density of supratectal spinules, their morphology and the feature of tectal perforations might function as an effective means for analyzing the polyploid level in the species when used together.
