Abstract

This thesis narrates the major events of Visual Communication Design in Taiwan after 1970. After 1970,there are six major events which are displayed chronologically as follows : 'Amoeba Design Association', 'Time Ad Magazine', 'Literary Section in China Times', 'LianKwan Cooperation', 'Time News Ad Awards', 'Design Promotion Center of CETRA' etc., As a result, The occurrence of these events and their remaining influence had improved Taiwan's Visual Communication Design to a higher level at that time. When consulting the documentary narratives, we may discover that Visual Communication Design in Taiwan gradually turned to be complicated in the aspect of technology and also inevitably took serious concerns on its development from different field. Therefore, after illustrating the six major events, this thesis also makes supplementary research on organizations that also contribute to Visual Communication Design in Taiwan. These brief points are categorized and displayed in the item 'Other'.
