<dc:description>An experiment was made as regards the relation of the sectional area of the electrodes and the thickness of plates to are welding current. The results are as follows : (1) The current increase or decrease is proportional to the sectional area of the electrodes. (2) And the current varies practically by a(e^&lt;-bx1&gt;-e^&lt;-bx2&gt;) where x_1 and x_2 are the thickness of the welded plates, a and b constant. From these two results, author has made a diagram which gives the suitable current in electric are welding using any size of electrodes and plates.</dc:description>
