Magnetization of a YBa<sub>2</sub>Cu<sub>3</sub>O<sub>7</sub> Crystal Prepared by the Quench and Melt Growth Process

<jats:p> Magnetization measurements have been conducted on YBa2Cu<jats:sub>3</jats:sub>O<jats:sub>7</jats:sub> samples fabricated by the quench and melt growth(QMG) technique using a vibrating sample magnetometer at 77 K. It has been found that the magnetization behavior of QMG-processed YBa<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>Cu<jats:sub>3</jats:sub>O<jats:sub>7</jats:sub> can be understood in terms of Bean critical state model. </jats:p>
