抄録
Electron beams with moderate energies, 0.4 to 2 keV, were injected for 5 ms into a small tokamak WT-2 by using the plasma anode method. The injection into a currentless plasma with a density 2.5×1018 m−3 at a toroidal field 1.1 T formed a toroidal current 4 kA, which was nine times the injected beam current. Additionally, an inductively produced toroidal current was sustained during the injection.
