Abstract

A new absorbing boundary condition is proposed for an infinite space simulation in TLM modeling. The boundary is terminated by multiple absorbing layers. The scattering matrix and corresponding algorithm are developed for lossy media in two-dimension. Simulation for the normal incidence is made on both time domain and frequency domain for the absorbing capability. Simulation for the random incidence is also made on the time domain. To discuss the validity of the present method, the results are evaluated in comparison with other non-reflective boundary settings.
