Abstract
Sargus beppui sp. n. from Japan is here described and illustrated. It belongs to typical Sargus, but is easily distinguished from S. metallinus and S. meracus by the width of frons, the coloration of legs, etc. The larvae of this species were found in the nests of a bird, that is, Eurystomus orientalis calonyx SHARPE (=Bupposo or Broadbilled roller). Further, three species-groups of Sargus are discussed.
