A Revision of the Subgenus Prosthodocis ENDERLEIN of the Genus Netelia GRAY of Japan (Hymenoptera, Ichneumonidae), I

Abstract

The subgenus Prosthodocis of the genus Netelia of Japan is revised. Nine species are recognized based not only on the male genitalia but also on the ovarian eggs. In this part, the species which have no pad in the male genitalia are treated. A new species, N. (P.) major, is described. N. (P.) baibarensis and N. (P.) uchidai are recorded from Japan for the first time and redescribed, and N. (P.) japonica is redescribed.
