A Revision of the Plant Bug, Genus Lygocoris REUTER from Japan, Part IV (Heteroptera, Miridae, Lygus-complex)

Abstract

Three new species, Lygocoris (Apolygus) subhilaris, L. (A.) rubriceps, and L. (A.) ater, are described from Japan. Lygocoris (Apolygus) fraxinicola and L. (A.) furvus are reported from Japan for the first time. Subgeneric characters of Apolygus and redescriptions of the following four species are given : L. (A.) spinolae, L. (A.) lucorum, L. (A.) nigrovirens and L. (A.) hilaris. Lygocoris (Apolygus) syringae KERZHNER is synonymized with L. (A.) hilaris.
