Seasonal and Altitudinal Distribution of Ground Beetles (Coleoptera) in the Southern Alps of Japan

Abstract

The seasonal and altitudinal distribution of 181 species (8, 412 specimens) of ground beetles trapped in the Senjo/Kai-koma region of the Southern Alps of Japan is given. Problems of pit-fall trapping at high altitudes are also considered.
