Abstract
A total of 24 species of thysanopterous insects, 2 merothripid species, 7 thripid species and 15 phlaeothripid species, are recorded from Jinmuji forest, Miura Peninsula, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. All of them were collected from leaf-litter by Tullgren funnels. A genus and three species are new to science. They are : Eurythrips orientalis sp. nov., Hoplandrothrips ochraceus sp. nov. and Temenothrips flavillus gen. et sp. nov. Psalidothrips lewisi (BAGNALL), comb. nov. is transferred from the genus Malacothrips, and Psalidothrips alaris HAGA is newly synonymized with it.
