Notes on the Genus Loxocera MEIGEN (Diptera, Psilidae) from Japan, Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands

Abstract

Six species including three new species of the genus Loxocera MEIGEN are recorded from Japan, Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands : L. (Platystyla) matsumurai n. sp. from Japan and Sakhalin, L. (P.) monstrata n. sp., and L. (L.) lutulenta n. sp. from Japan. L. (L.) achaeta SHATALKIN, L. (L.) fulviventris MEIGEN and L. (L.) maculipennis HENDEL and newly recorded from Japan. A key to the Japanese species is also presented.
