Abstract
A new strepsipteran, Pseudoxenos hirokoae sp. nov. (Stylopidae) is described on the basis of a female extracted from Stenodynerus rufomaculatus (Hymenoptera, Eumenidae) collected on Kakeroma Island in the Amami Islands. It is discriminated from the closest relative, P. minor, which is parasitic on the same host genus Stenodynerus in Japan, by broader mandibles, more minute mandibular teeth, more posteriorly situated spiracles, and more outwardly expanded postspiracular lateral margins of cephalothorax.
