The Polypedilum convictum Species Group (Diptera, Chironomidae) from Japan, with Descriptions of Two New Species

Abstract

Five Japanese species of the Polypedilum convictum species group, pedatum, cultellatum, convictum, hiroshimaense and aviceps, are redescribed on adult males. Two new species, paraviceps and surugense, found in Japan, are added to the species group based on both male and female adults and immature forms.
