Abstract
In Protocalliphora maruyamensis KANO et SHINONAGA, the percentage of parasitisms and the number of parasites per nest were high and numerous in Paridae (3 spp.), Sturnidae (2 spp.) and Sittidae (1 sp.). Six species of five families, Parus palustris, Parus ater, Sitta europaea, Sturnus cineraceus, Ficedula narcissina and Dryocopus martius, were new host birds. The percentage of parasitisms and the number of parasites per nest were low and few in all bird species parasitized by Protocalliphora azurea FALLEN. Four species of three families, Parus palustris, Sturnus philippensis, Ficedula narcissina and Turdus chrysolaus, were new host birds.
