The Genus Athemus (Coleoptera, Cantharidae) of the Ryukyu Islands, Southwest Japan

Abstract

Two new species of the genus Athemus are described and illustrated from Okinawa-Honto and Amami-Oshima of the Ryukyu Islands, respectively under the names of A. yonaensis and A. akemiae. A key is provided to all the Athemus species from the Ryukyus.
