Description of a New Braconid (Hymenoptera) Parasitic on the Cerambycid Beetle Anoplophora malasiaca (THOMSON) (Coleoptera) in Japan

Abstract

A new braconid, Ontsira anoplophorae sp. nov., is described from Japan. This species is a gregarious ectoparasite of the larva of the white-spotted longicorn beetle, Anoplophora malasiaca, on citrus. This is the first species recorded as a parasite of Anoplophora spp. in Japan.
