Abstract
The erroneous specific arrangements of Nothopsyche pallipes BANKS and Nothopsyche ulmeri SCHMID in past revisional works (SCHMID, 1952 ; KOBAYASHI, 1983) are revised. The male and the female genitalia of both species are redescribed. Although some records of these species from Sakhalin and China appeared in old literatures, there is no reliable evidence that those species distribute other than Japan. Basing on my examination of materials from wide assortment from Japanese Islands, N. pallipes widely distribute from Hokkaido through Kyushu, and N. ulmeri is more limited from southern Hokkaido (Oshima) through northern Honshu (Kanto).
