Abstract
Thirty five species belonging to 9 families of Heteroptera were collected in several fields in Tokachi, Hokkaido in 1990-1992 to investigate the incidence of parasitism by tachinid flies. Of these, 26 species belonging to 6 families were parasitized by the parasitic flies. Percentage parasitism was frequently high in Graphosoma rubrolineatum, Lelia decempunctata, Pentatoma japonica and Urostylis striicornis. Thirteen species belonging to 8 genera of Tachinidae were recorded from 18 species of Heteroptera. Redtenbacheria insignis, Phasia (P.) hemiptera, Ectophasia crassippennis and E. rotundiventris parasitized 3, 4, 8 and 10 species of Heteroptera, respectively, whereas the remaining 9 tachinid species parasitized only one species of Heteroptera.
