The Genus Hyidiothrips HOOD (Thysanoptera, Phlaeothripidae) from East Asia

Abstract

The East Asian species of the phlaeothripid genus Hyidiothrips are studied. Six species are recognized, in which five species are new to science. They are : Hyidiothrips brunneus sp. nov., H. hiromiae sp. nov., H. japonicus OKAJIMA, H. malayanus sp. nov., H. nirasawae sp. nov. and H. sulawesicus sp. nov. A key is provided to these six species.
