文章産出過程モデルの変遷 : より包括的なモデル構築のために A Critical Survey of Writing Process Models : Limitations of the Cognitive Psychology Perspective

抄録

Writing researchers have been making efforts to explore the nature of writing process, particularly from the perspective of cognitive psychology. Such attempts to make a comprehensive model of the writing process are valuable as an appropriate springboard for further inquiries. In this article, then, four representative models, including Flower & Hayes (1981), are surveyed and discussed. The models are similar because they emphasize the function of reading, triggered by metacognition, and revision. Unfortunately, however, the function of this reading is not fully elucidated, and, moreover, all of the components that work in the writing process are narrowly circumscribed within the individual. Taking into account the fact that writing is communication whereby a writer and a reader interact, writing research should pay attention not only to the processing within the individual but also to the processing, or interaction, that occurs between a reader and a writer. Therefore, it is suggested that we need to make a more comprehensible model from the viewpoint of communication.
