In the past decade, the rate of undergraduate medical students using personal computers at Chiba University had increased from 29.70 69.1-0.000000or 6 years. In keeping step to modern advances, we developed computerized patient management problems and inplemented them in the learning practice for five-year students. With this program, students had a chance to experience common diseases which are rare at Chiba University Hospital. Furthermore, this unique practice was an effective tool to experience cases as if actual ones by multimedia techniques. We introduced this system and summarized students' responses to this method by conducting questionnaire survey.

千葉大学医学部学生のコンピュータ普及率はこの6年間で, 29.7%から69.1%とほぼ倍増した。このような中で, 千葉大学医学部第二内科で1992年から行なっているコンピュータによる患者管理のシミュレーションでは, 独自に製作した一般疾患の患者管理問題をベッドサイドラーニング(BSL)の中で行なうことにより, ふだん大学病院ではみる機会の少ないcommon diseaseを体験させている。これはまたマルチ・メデイアの環境下で, 学生に診療の疑似体験をさせ, より鮮明な記憶を残すことが期待される新しい試みである。その内容を紹介するとともに, 学生の反応をアンケートからまとめた。
