抄録

Maximum displacement response of SDOF system subjected to finite cycle sin wave is calculated in order to estimate the conceivable maximum displacement response of structures. As results, the maximum velocity responses of linear system based on this proposed method are constant. The period of sin wave that makes the structure most deformed is nearby the natural period of that structure. The maximum displacement response of normal bilinear system is caused by 1.5-cycle sine wave on this proposed method. The maximum displacement response of slip-type restoring force character system is caused by 2-cycle sine wave on this proposed method. The estimated maximum displacement response displacement is less than 1.2 times of the displacement based on this proposed method.
