We report two cases of obturator foramen hernia diagnosed preoperatively with CT. Both were elderly, thin females with Howship-Romberg signs. Pelvic CT, revealed a nodular higher density shadow in the area of the external obturator and pectineal muscles. Both cases required emergency operations carried out under spinal anesthesia due to intestinal obstructions. Given the difficulty of detecting intestinal obstructions of unknown origin in elderly, thin females, we found the CT scan useful in making a preoperative diagnosis of this disease.
