3大疾病保障保険条件体の保険金支払状況  [in Japanese] Circumstances of Claims Payment of Dread Disease Insurance of Substandard Risks  [in Japanese]

3大疾病保障保険が発売されて,まもなく10年が経過する。今回,3大疾病保障保険の条件体を中心に保険金支払発生状況について調査を行った。条件体の内訳としては循環器疾患による条件体が最も多かった。標準体・条件体それぞれにおいて保険金支払原因を調査したところ,条件体では脳卒中による保険金支払の占率が大きく増加していた。標準体における保険金支払発生率を基に,条件体の査定評価別支払発生指数を調査したところ,査定評価が重くなるほど高い発生指数を示しており,特に脳卒中においてその傾向が強かった。一方,癌の発生指数はいずれの査定評価においてもほぼ同じ値を示しており,他の支払原因とは異なる傾向を示した。また,選択理由毎に特徴のある支払発生状況を示していた。

Ten years have shortly passed since dread disease insurance was put on the market. We investigated the circumstances of claims payment of dread disease insurance mainly as to substandard risks. Substandard risks due to diseases of the cardiovascular system headed the list of substandard risks. We investigated the causes of claims payment on standard risks and substandard risks respectively, and it was found that the ratio of claims payment due to cerebral apoplexy on substandard risks considerably increased. We studied the occurrence index of claims payment according to underwriting assessment on substandard risks based on the occurrence rate of claims payment on standard risks. As a result the occurrence index showed high values as the underwriting assessment became worse, and the case of cerebral apoplexy strongly showed the tendency. Meanwhile the occurrence ratio of claims payment due to cancer showed almost same values in all underwriting assessment, and it had the tendency differing from other causes for claims payment. The study also showed characteristic occurrence situations of claims payment according to each selection reason of substandard risks.
