スリットスキャン方式のオーブテック社製オーブスキヤン(Version 2.10)を用いて,正常眼における角膜前面曲率半径(r1),角膜後面曲率半径(r2),角膜厚(t)を測定し,角膜中心より半径3mmで囲まれる角膜の断面積Mを介してr1,r2,tの関係を比較検討した。対象は,角膜疾患のない正常眼53例106眼で,男性26例52眼,女性27例54眼であった。平均年齢は37.6歳(21〜60歳)であった。断面積Mは角膜厚tにほぼ正比例し,M=5.7×10^<-3>t+0.44という近似式が成立した。また,M=5.62×10^<-4>rlt+1.14,M=6.08×10^<-4>r2t+1.42という近似式も成立した。従って,角膜厚(t),角膜前面曲率半径(r1),角膜後面曲率半径(r2)の間に相関関係があることが分かった。この結果は,ばらつきが大きいものの,今後の角膜形状解析の一端を担う上で有意なものであると考えられる。
We had used an Orbscan (Version 2.10) slit scan type by Orbtek Inc., to study the relationships among the radius of the anterior corneal curvature (r1), the radius of the posterior corneal curvature (r2), the corneal thickness (t), and sectioned corneal area (M) taken 3-mm from the center. We selected 53 cases with 106 normal eyes without corneal illnesses. Twenty-six cases with 52 eyes were male, and twenty-seven cases with 54 eyes were female subjects. Ages ranged from twenty-one to sixty years old with an average of 37.6 years. The sectioned corneal area (M) was found almost directy proportional to the corneal thickness (t) in an equation of M=5.7×10^<-3>(T)+0.44. As for (r1) and (r2), the equations of M=5.62×10^<-4>(r1)(t)+1.14 and M=6.08×10^<-4>(r2)(t)+1.42 were established, respectively. From the above, we found a refractive relationship among the corneal thickness (t), the radius of the anterior corneal curvature (r1), and the radius of the posterior corneal curvature (r2). Although the calculated figures were not always consistent when compared to the actual measurements, the relationships were thought to be useful in the analysis of corneal curvature in the future.
