Abstract

The effects of organic carbon content (C_<oc>) and pH on the sorption coefficients (K_d) of linuron (non-ionic pesticide) and 2,4-D (ionic pesticide) on three surface soils have been investigated by batch equilibrium method and were found to be expressed by the equation, log K_d = 3.83 - 0.39 pH + log C_<oc>, for 2,4-D within 24% deviation.
