抄録

Two new species of the Polyplacophora are described from a depth of 1, 395 m at a hydrothermal vent site of the Iheya Small Ridge, Okinawa Trough, East China Sea : Leptochiton tenuidontus n. sp. and Thermochiton undocostatus n. gen. and sp., which belongs to the Family Ischnochitonidae. This is the first record of Polyplacophora from hydrothermal vent areas.
